Got Wrap? Recycle It

NANTUCKET, MA (June 1, 2021) – Clean Ocean Access, Dr. Shrink, Nantucket Public Works,
Glyn’s Marine, and Nantucket Marine are calling all boaters to save and recycle their shrink
wrap via a new collection program. From April through the end of August, Nantucket
residents can participate in this new pay-as-you-throw (PAYT) program to advance local
recycling processes, giving wrap a second life in new products, preserving the capacity of
the island landfill.

HOW IT WORKS:

PURCHASE EZ-Fill bags at Glyn’s Marine, and Nantucket Marine for $35 — each bag
holding approximately 800 sq. ft. of wrap, the equivalent of that removed from a 30-foot
boat.

RECYCLE your boats shrink wrap by filling EZ-Fill bag with wrap and seal with supplied
closure device. Keep shrink wrap clean and dry and be sure to remove all non-shrink items
such as: straps, vents, zippers, rope, and tape.

SCHEDULE EZ-fill bag drop-off for recycling with Nantucket Public Works. Returning filled
EZ-Fill bags to Glyn’s and Nantucket Marine is not an option.
