It is apparent within the marine industry that winterization season is here. For those of you who already have a mobile marine shrink wrap business in place and want to expand your services, you could consider offering shrink wrap for patio furniture, grills, jet skis, lawn mowers, campers/RVs, air conditioning units, outdoor pools, and many other items that need protection during the winter.
Dr. Shrink offers the widest variety of shrink wrap sizes and mil thicknesses to do every job. For long-term or short-term storage, the Dr. has you covered. Keep in mind after the winterization season is over, that the opportunities for shrink wrapping are endless if you “think outside the boat.” Send in your photos from this season– we enjoy seeing what you’re up to! Tired of lugging around heavy, steel tanks all season?

Finally, an alternative to lugging around those heavy propane cylinders! These 11, 17 and 22 pound composite tanks are 50% lighter than steel. The ergonomic handles allow for easy carrying and stacking. Thanks to the rugged, noncorrosive 3-layer composite, which is also translucent, your fuel levels will always be visible so you’ll never run out on the job. Each cylinder has a wide, stable base that prevents it from tipping over.
Unlike steel and aluminum tanks, Viking Cylinders® will not BELVE in a fire. BELVE is the technical abbreviation for Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapor Explosion. In layman’s terms, the cylinder will not explode in a fire. Instead, the resin will burn off, the plastic liner/casing will melt, and the LPG will “breathe” through the cylinder wall, while burning in a controlled manner.

Dr. Shrink receives numerous phone calls from customers, especially this time of year, who ask if we know of any shrink wrap installers in their area. Make sure you are on our Professional Installer’s List by submitting the form for approval. We will refer customers to you!
CUSTOMER PICKUP INFORMATION
We are still allowing customers to drive-up to pick up their orders- orders must be placed and paid in advance and you will need to call upon arrival. Our warehouse staff will load your truck or vehicle as long as the following criteria is met:
Dr. Shrink staff will load the material if:
- The vehicle has a separate trunk, truck bed, or SUV rear gate
- The vehicle has ample space to load
- The space is cleared for the material prior to loading (Note, if the space is cluttered or materials/items need to be moved, the customer will be asked to come back after they have made room for the materials)
Customers are welcome to load their own material if they are physically able. Please make sure you reference the weight and dimensions of your shrink wrap rolls and other items to be able to accommodate your pick-up.
Information to note prior to pick-up:
- Come to the back of Dr. Shrink for pickup (shipping/receiving area)
- Please do not block loading dock area
- Remain in your vehicle and call 800-968-5147 to let us know you are here for pickup
***We are open for pickup Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm EST and are open on Saturdays from 9:00am-2:00pm EST, until November 19th. If you place an online order for Saturday pickup, the order must be placed Friday by 2:00pm EST.***
